AMSTERDAM, HOLLAND with MEL STABIN, AWS, NWS    Watercolor July 18-29, 2012        $3395 painters  $3195 non-painters Amsterdam is one of the jewels of Europe.  Art lovers should not miss it, with  the Van Gogh Museum, the Riksmuseum, just to name a couple of the finest museums in the world. Amsterdam has all the advantages of a big city, but is easier to get around in. Traveling the canals is great fun. Thanks to the canals, it has little road traffic and we’ll be able to walk to most areas for painting. We’ll spend most of our time right there in Amsterdam, in our centrally located hotel, but will take a one day trip to a little town for a different view of Holland. And, of course, we’ll take a canal cruise. Most people in Amsterdam, young or old, seem to speak at least some conversational English. We will have lots of painting time each day.
